Jolie, Lopez considered ideal beauties in Allure’s 20th anniversary survey

It’s been twenty years since Allure first hit newsstands; now over a hundred memorable magazine covers later, they’ve quizzed men and women to see how beauty perceptions have changed since their first survey in 1991.

In 1991, male and females agreed that Christie Brinkley had the ideal look for a female, sporting her long blonde hair, blue eyes, and slim figure. Now, how the times have changed. Angelina Jolie is now considered more of the ideal, with women preferring her dark hair, as well as curvier bodies like you’d find on Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce.

Other female stars considered the most beautiful by both men and women included Halle Berry, Megan Fox, Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock, and Jessica Alba.

Meanwhile, men and women also agreed on Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Ryan Reynolds, Matthew McConaughey, Harrison Ford, and Hugh Jackman on being some of the most beautiful guys in the industry.

Interestingly, the survey also delved into some racial hot topics to find what American culture finds attractive. According to the survey, 85% of the 2000 people surveyed believe that increased diversity in this country has changed what people consider beautiful.

Also, according to the survey, African-American and Hispanic women are twice as likely to say they would not change their body in any way than Caucasian women.
